My Current Fitness Leggings Collection

Like they say, give a girl the right pair of shoes and they can conquer the world. However give a gym bunny a good pair of vibrant leggings to squat in, this is when leg day gets well and truly smashed. Now it is no hidden secret that I absolutely love gym leggings- my motto tends to be 'the brighter the better'. I do own many pairs of shorts and three-quarter lengths, but there's something about the gym legging which makes lifting weights so much more comfortable for me. My collection itself is very varied; Lipsy, Nike, Tesco, Ellesse South Beach, Karrimor... you name it, I'm not a label snob in the slightest. But as I am now due for a legging re-vamp, I thought that it would be a good idea share my current collection before showcasing my pins in my new gear. So let's see what's lurking in the Eltoria wardrobe!

Above: Tesco
Although I love to own as many Nike items as I can, my favourite leggings actually come from Tesco. Tesco actually stock some really colourful and comfortable fitness items which makes it ideal if you are on a tight budget. I must say that the material of Tesco leggings are superb- they are sturdy, light, and you can tell that they are going to last for a very long time. I only wish that Tesco would have a bigger range (hint, hint if you are reading!).

Currently I am loving fitness clothing from Gym Shark, Gymversus, and Adidas (so you can expect my new leggings post to feature some of these brands in there). But please let me know in the comments if you know of any good brands as I'd love to hear your suggestions. You can also check out my latest Workout Clothing Haul video by clicking here.

How To Dutch Braid For Beginners

Now I must admit, I am not in any way a braiding queen. It is something that I would love to be able to do in my sleep, but my sister decided to hog the Barbie Styling Head when I was a kid so I had no hope (well I was the one who decided to give it a stylish bob... oops!). So after much determination and patience, I finally learnt how to do these double dutch braids (and I love that they are so Khloe Kardashian) So if you are someone like me who also finds braiding difficult, this post and YouTube video is the perfect starting point because it is made for beginners! This hairstyle took me about an hour to learn, so make sure that you have plenty of time and patience (the key is just practice, practice, practice).

Above: click above to watch my Dutch Braid For Beginners video
Step 1: Just like any plait/braid separate the hair into 3 pieces. Now before you start at the top of your head, I would learn how to do the dutch brain first. Rather than crossing over the middle piece of hair, you are crossing underneath. And whilst crossing underneath you collect additional hair (please refer to my YouTube video if you are still unsure).

Step 2: Once you have practiced the braid itself, spray some dry shampoo into your hair to add additional texture, and then separate your hair into two halves and clip one side away. Take a section of hair and then divide it into three pieces. Take one of the outer strands and pass it underneath the central piece, and then repeat on the other side.

Above: one of my favourite dry shampoos by Batiste. Read my latest post here.
Step 3: Now this time when you pass the outer sections of hair underneath the central piece, grab some additional hair. Now this is explained and demonstrated very clearly in my Dutch Braid For Beginners video on YouTube (you can click the thumbnail above to watch it).

Step 4: When you get to ear level, start to grab the hair towards the back. This ensures that all pieces of hair are not missed (and not mention makes it easier to braid at the bottom).

Step 5: Keep braiding until you reach the bottom.

Will you be trying out this hairstyle anytime soon? Don't forget to check out my YouTube video!

12 Things You Will Do When You Realise That You're An Adult

I moved out of my family home when I was 18, so that's like 5 years ago? And I must admit things have changed a little. Although I would say that my brothers, sister and I were self sufficient from a very young age, there were a few things that I had to get used to (like the bed fairy making my bed). So after a bit of research, I found these 12 common things you will do when you start to realise that you are an adult.

1. You start to pay bills that you never thought existed
Errr why is Council Tax so expensive? And why do I have to pay Rates? Life is all about bills, bills, bills!

2. You start to realise that life is extremely expensive
TV licence, phone contracts, internet connection, running a car, buying a house... all this stuff really does add up! Why couldn't everything be half priced or for free? I wish.

3. You don’t get upset if someone doesn’t like you
This is something that I think most people can relate to. I remember as a child/young teen I used to get really upset if someone didn't like me at school, but now, I couldn't care less. #HatersAreGoingToHate.

4. You start to understand that the tax man is Satan
Don’t you just dream about the holidays you could buy with your own tax money? I certainly do. It is so depressing looking at the amount of deductions I have on each pay day!

5. You have a few accomplishments underneath your belt
Whether it be a university degree, a promotion at work or gaining experience, getting a few accomplishments underneath your belt is a pretty good feeling. I would have to say that my recent accomplishment were going on The Gadget Show and being a finalist in the UK Blog Awards (you can check these two posts if you want to: The Gadget Show, UK Blog Awards).

6. You start to take care of your body
When I was a kid, eating a couple of chocolate bars and a packet of crisps a day used to not touch the sides. But eating that sort of stuff now makes me feel incredibly ill (and not to mention adding on the pounds around my thighs). I wouldn’t say that I watch everything that I eat, but I certainly do eat much cleaner and exercise a lot more than I did.

7. If you’re hungry, you have to buy it and then make it
Eugh, why couldn’t there be a Food Fairy that stocks the fridge and cooks your food? There's nothing worse than chilling on the sofa, feeling hungry, and then having to get up to make something.

8. Staying up late is a terrible idea
Especially when you have work in the morning! I tend to find that if I go to bed late, my whole day at work just drags. Someone please get me one of these duvets below?

Source: http://metro.co.uk/2016/03/21/introducing-the-duvet-suit-for-people-who-love-their-bed-too-much-5766250/?ito=facebook
9. You start to live for the weekends
Wishing away your week days for the weekends can certainly make your life flash before your eyes.

10. You start getting the odd wrinkle, grey hair maybe…
Luckily I am yet to find my first grey hair and wrinkle, but how many of you have found yours already?

11. Singing High School Musical (or any equivalent) become publically unacceptable
Sometimes you just want to burst into song in public, but being caught listening to S Club 7 or High School Musical in public may be a little awkward.

12. You turn into a bit of a neat freak
Don't know about you, but I absolutely hate it when there is clutter on my kitchen units (if I had my way the kettle and toaster would be hidden in a drawer).

The Perfect Denim Shirt

For months, no, years I have been searching for the perfect denim shirt (fussy? you could say). I wouldn't say that I was a biggest shirt wearer in the world as I feel that some styles make me look a little masculine. So when I was searching for something comfortable to wear for my Italy trip  (be sure to check out my When In Rome post) I happened to try on this little number from River Island. What I love about this shirt is that it isn't heavy like a lot of denim styles. It is extremely comfortable and the length of it falls just below my hip (which is a bonus as I often hate tops which fall above my hip). The buttons are silver poppers which do not easily come undone, and the style looks perfect for any casual occasion.

I styled this outfit with this gorgeous brown satchel from Primark which made the perfect companion around the cobbles of Rome. There is plenty of room for your phone, keys, purse, and even a mini makeup bag (perfect for any city break). I also love these Luella Wet Look Textured Panel Leggings which I picked up from Boohoo. Rather than going for a plain black style, I decided to pick up something a little different, so I went for these open mesh panel textured style which I think look amazing.

12 Childish Things A Woman Will Do When She's Annoyed At You

Since you guys seemed to like my 12 Types Of Annoying People That You Will Meet Working In An Office, I have decided to make this into a little thing. Every Friday I shall be posting these kind of 'Buzzfeed' posts to fill at least 3-4 minutes of your Fri-YAY time. So please let me know if you have any title suggestions, I'd love to hear from you all! So let's take a few of the childish things that women will do when she's annoyed at you.

1. The I’m Fine’

If a lady tells you that she is fine with a face like thunder, she is not ok. Make sure that you choose your next words wisely and whatever you do, do not make a joke out of the situation. You will most definitely be in the dog house if you do.
2. The Lack Of Physical Contact

Don’t expect cuddles on the sofa or holding hands in public, you are currently getting the cold shoulder. Give your lady some space, no one likes to be smothered when they are in a rage of anger (you will only get burned if you do!).

3. The Sigh

This means, I want some attention and please apologise for what you have done. Do not sit in silence or respond with ‘why are you sighing’, that will only decrease delay time in between each sigh.

4. The Dramatic Exit

Take the dramatic exit as a hint that she wants to be followed… but leave it a few moments until you do. But then again if you are like me, I often storm off but then come back because I want to watch a TV programme.

5. Ignoring What You Don’t like

There’s nothing better than having a taste of your own medicine and often child play can be the perfect game plan (especially if know that your partner isn’t going to apologise anytime soon). Have you ever encountered feet obstructing the TV,  the remote control being hidden, and even the WIFI turned off? Yep, you have been played my friend.

6. Frantic Cleaning

Now this is something that I do all the time, especially when I ask my boyfriend to clean something up but then he doesn’t do it. I guess this is much better than having a full blown argument right? But then again, it really does get on my boyfriend’s nerves (no one likes having the hoover on when you are trying to watch a film).

7. The Tea Drought

Has your partner ever sat down without offering if you want a cup of tea/drink when it is out of character? Yep she’s annoyed at you. It is best to calmly ask her why, as after all, you wouldn't want another tea drought in your next tea sitting.

8. The ‘Do What You Want’

Which means do not do what you want. If you are pretty good at reading between the lines, most women use this phrase to deter you from what you want to do. But be careful if your partner uses this phrase too often, no one wants to date a controlling freak!

Source: http://rebekahanncurtis.tumblr.com/post/64586853966/why-women-dont-get-what-they-want

9. The Voicemail

Everyone hates it when someone doesn’t pick up the phone when they really need to talk to them, so what a way to annoy your partner. But then again receiving 30 missed calls and text messages is a little excessive, so make sure you don’t take the bait. Let the lady have her thinking space.

10. The 'You Don’t Understand'

Yep men will probably never fully understand on how it feels to be a woman, so make sure you are a little sensitive with us. Never ever say that you do understand, because your actions in the first place show that you really don't.

11. The LOL, ROFL, SOZ

If there are words that you don't like... we will use them just to annoy you.

Source: http://uberhumor.com/rofl

12. The Mimic

Now this is the time where your annoyed better half will mimic your voice, your walk, and will generally act like you (not exaggerating in the slightest of course). She will probably throw fake punches, act out that she is throwing something at you, or actually throw something. Grab the popcorn for the show!

Have you ever encountered any of the above? Or have I missed anything? Let me know in the comments.

Batiste| Sweetie and Marrakech Dry Shampoo

Now I am probably repeating myself here, but I absolutely love Batiste dry shampoo products. As mentioned before, it is no secret that I like to use dry shampoo when I've overslept, lived it rough camping or when I simply cannot be bothered to wash my hair. Whatever hair dilemma I am in, I can always depend on a bit of the white stuff to get me out of a greasy spot of bother. Not only do I use Batiste dry shampoo to spray away all of my hair troubles, but it is also fantastic for styling because it makes the texture of the hair so much easier to handle. So not only is Batiste perfect for unwashed dirty hair, but it is also works well in clean fresh hair making it the ultimate all round hair product (why couldn’t I come up with genius idea this when I used to put baby talc in my hair when I was a kid?).

Love me? Marry me? Please say yes Sweetie! This bottle of sugary delight is infused with raspberry and vanilla which leaves your hair smelling irresistible (or hungry for some Love Hearts if you are just like me). I would have to say that this new Sweetie dry shampoo by Batiste is my current favourite as I personally think that it is the best smelling one. I like to spray this product onto the roots my hair, and then gently massage (and brush through) using a tangle teaser (saves washing your hands). I find that this method is much gentler and cleaner than using your fingers.

Awaken your senses and clear your minds for this new bottle of Moroccan glory. Not only will the scent of this dry shampoo spice up your style, but the hint of fresh lemons will take you to the hills of Morocco (if only). Not only are Batiste dry shampoos perfect for banishing greasy roots, but they are also the perfect in pro-longing a blow dry or a hair style that your hairdresser perfectly crafted for the party that you went to the night before (take note Gemma Collins!). Simply spritz onto the root, fluff it up a bit, and what do you know, your hair will look good as new (fit for a Marrakech princess I would say).
