Can You Lose Weight Using An App?*

Above: You can use the Body Vision App anywhere
I get it, there are loads of fitness apps out there but finding the right one for you can be very challenging. For many, weight loss and toning up can be increasingly difficult and giving up often seems to be the easy way out. From experience, getting a personal trainer tends to be the best way if you are wanting to get motivated, educated, and disciplined when it comes to working out. However most personal trainers charge a lot per the hour (between £20.00-£25.00) so it is no wonder why many of us give up on the dream of having that healthy and sustainable body.

Recently I have been using the Body Vision app which can easily be downloaded onto an iPhone or Android mobile device. Body Vision is the only provider of weight loss coaching who can make it simple, satisfying, and sustainable throughout your fitness journey. Every week you'll receive lessons on the Body Vision method providing you with 1 to 2 assignments each time. You'll have full communication with a personal trainer (Simon) who will guide you on how to apply the lessons to your own weight loss journey. Also as part of the service, you will also have the option to email Simon with any of your questions throughout your time using the app (which is perfect if you are a beginner) with an additional email every week containing videos on the latest tips and tricks.

For the last three weeks I have been using this app and it is the perfect buddy to accompany you to the gym or at home. I love how the training plan generator and trainer mode allows you to personalise your workouts so that you can really make the most out of it. Under 'Your Fitness' tab in the menu drop-down, you can record your weight, height, fitness level, and you can also take a picture to track your progress. You also have the option to select the equipment that you have available to you under the 'Your Equipment' tab, which in my opinion makes a workout plan just as good as having a personal trainer create one for you. These options also makes the app extremely versatile and perfect if you are finding yourself working out in different locations. As I travel a lot for work, I always find my 'pocket personal trainer' extremely handy to have when it comes to planning out workouts.

Using the app is easy. As you can see above, I have selected the following equipment available to me: barbell, bench, dumbbells, incline bench, step, and treadmill. Then under the 'Your Workout' tab, you have different workouts set out per day (except Saturday and Sunday which are rest days) which are created accordingly against the equipment you have available to you. So in todays workout I have the following set up:

Warm up: 10 minutes
Exercise: 48 minutes
Cool Down: 10 minutes

I then have the option to review the workout before starting. I love the fact that the app also comes with a timer which makes it extremely easy to keep track of time. The educational element of the app comes with photographic and written guidance which ensures that you are carrying out the exercises safely. It is also a great way to learn new exercises and build up confidence- there are too many people out there who avoid working out because they feel 'silly' when it comes to doing exercises that they aren't familiar with. I have learnt so much using this app already and I cannot wait to see the results in a few weeks time.

Would you like a trial out this app with unlimited access for free? All you have to do is download the app here and then fill out a Google Survey Form which will be sent to you. Easy peasy!

Have you ever used a fitness app before?

Sally Beauty Box Giveaway!

Above: want to win one of these boxes? Enter via the Rafflecopter below
Spring is here, so it's time to trade out wintry products for something a little more vibrant and fresh. Personally I would have to say that the transition between winter and spring tends to be the most drastic; warmer weather means tanned pins and the blossoming trees creates inspiration for colourful nail trends. Whatever the area of beauty you are looking to revamp, Sally has got you covered in more ways than you can possibly imagine.

Above: spend over £50.00 in Sally to receive a free Beauty Box
I often hear the rumour that the general public cannot shop in Sally because it is only available to trade professionals. But such rumour is not true, anyone can shop in Sally. Yes, some products are only available for trade professionals to buy, but there are so many other products in store that you can purchase. So with a whole store to myself and feeling completely spoilt for choice, I set out with £50.00 to turn my dated beauty box into a blossoming Spring collection.

Everyone knows that I am face mask lover so picking up this 7th Heaven Argan Oil Mud facemask for £1.00 was a no brainer. The joy of Moroccan Argan Oil coupled with rich Acai Berries joins forces to deeply cleanse pores, balance oil levels, and bring tired skin back to life. My skin felt extremely revitalised and decongested after using this mask and there are other face products available to purchase in Sally too.

Sienna X is the love of my life when it comes to fake tan, but picking up a bottle of Tantruth was like committing a love affair all over again. If I am honest with you, I first fell in love with Tantruth around a year ago so it was nice to re-light the flame that I once had for it. As you can see in my before and after pictures below, it leaves a gorgeous sun kissed shade which is also streak free.

Is it truly Spring if you haven't updated your nail polish collection? I think not! So I selected a foam file, white blocks, Morgan Taylor Nail Laquer in the shade Must Have Mauve, and a Gellux chrome mirror kit in order to give my nails a little TLC.

Above: contents of the Beauty Box and Crystallite Earrings up close
For spending £50.00 on beauty and products products in store, I also received a free Beauty Box jammed packed with 14 beauty essentials worth £100.00. Inside your very own lavish new case you will receive the following:

- Salon Services Small Black Glitter Carina Beauty Box
- Lord & Berry Mini Black Line & Shade Eyeliner
- Eyelash Curler
- Tantruth The Deluxe Dry Oil
- Skintruth Callus Remover
- Retinol Face Mask
- Body Drench Coconut Water Moisturiser 59ml
- Nip + Fab Kale Moisturiser 10ml
- Marvelbrow Instant Eye Masks
- OPI Avojuice Sweet Lemon Sage Hand & Body Lotion 30ml
- Beauty Pro Hand Therapy Collagen Infused Mask
- ASP Signature Nail Polish 14ml
- Nina Ultra Pro Nail Art Stickers
- Crystallite Earrings

Want to win your very own case? I am giving away one of these fabulous cases and all you have to do is enter via the Rafflecopter port below. All you have to do is:

1. Retweet the tweet in the Rafflecopter port
2. Comment the beauty product that you cannot live without on @SallyBeautyUK's Facebook video post

Best of luck!

Chocolate Cornflake Cakes Recipe For Easter

So there's one things that I'm really good at... making Chocolate Cornflake Cakes! This recipe is really easy to make and these cakes can be made by kids or adults in time for Easter Sunday. All you need is a saucepan, a mixing now, cake cases, a table spoon, a wooden spoon, and some weighing scales. Recipe wise all you need is the following:

50g butter
100g of milk or dark chocolate
3 tbsp of Golden Syrup
100g of Cornflakes
Makes 12, 10 minutes to make

Step 1: weigh out the ingredients.

Step 2: boil the kettle and pour hot water into a saucepan. Then taking the mixing bowl, place on top of the saucepan so that it acts as a banmaree. Then place 100g of chocolate, 50g of butter, and 3 tbsp of Golden Syrup and stir until all the lumps have dissolved.

Step 3: pour the cornflakes into the mixture and stir until all of the flakes are covered in chocolate.

Step 4: place the mixture into cake cases and then add mini eggs on top.

Step 5: place in the fridge until chilled.

Will you be making your own Chocolate Cornflake Cakes in time for Easter?
Much Love

Teeez Cosmetics| The Makeup Brand You Need To Try*

Teeez Cosmetics, a cruelty free brand from the Netherlands
Not only is the packaging the most gorgeous thing that I have ever seen but the makeup itself blew my mind away. I think a lot of us tend to stick to the likes Charlotte Tilbury, MAC, and NARS, but more recently I have been discovering new makeup brands which are as good as the market leaders. Although I am not criticising these types of brands (because I do use them myself a lot), but sometimes offering something more than a good product tends to be the demand these days. Teeez Cosmetics is a brand which does exactly this. Come to you all the way from the Netherlands, Teeez Cosmetics launch innovative makeup collections each season taking inspiration from new and upcoming fashion trends. This season greeted in the new 'Fashion Vendetta' collection which has been designed to make you feel like a million dollars, so you can probably imagine, I was super excited to give these products a bit of a test drive. So will I rate Teeez as a 'Yey' or 'Ney'? Let's take a look!

So first up is the Style Addict Highlighter in the shade Body Heat. Now isn't this liquid highlighter the dreamiest and creamiest thing that you have ever seen? No jokes this highlighter makes my mouth water every time I see it. The pigmentation in this product is just insane, not only does it give that Kim Kardashian glow seal of approval but it is also very hydrating. You can only pop this highlighter directly onto the skin or on top of a BB cream or foundation- mixing it with a powder is a major no no. As you can see from my swatch above, it is just beautiful and it is a great product to use to highlight the cheek bone and brow bone. There are other colours available in the range so be sure to go and check it out.

Above: wearing To Die For Eyeshadow Quad (Equinox) and Read My Lips Lipstick in the shade On Trend
When it comes to eyeshadow quads I am like a magpie, there's nothing better than opening up a shiny new case to find a set of fresh colours to try. This Equinox To Die For Eyeshadow Quad is the perfect buy if you are wanting dark smokey eyes. As you can see in the first image above, the colours are really pigmented and the powders themselves are not dusty. In image 2 above, I have duped them onto my eyelids for a natural look so it goes to show that you can also use this palette as a day one too. It's such a high end palette and they also have other quad colours on their website too.

Above: below (nearest the ring) Material Girl Lipstick, (centre) Read My Lips Lipstick, (right) Serial Lip Stain
You all know that I adore my lipsticks so trying out a few from the Teeez range was a pleasure. I am majorly fussy when it comes to lipsticks; they can't be too dry nor too glossy so these Teeez lipsticks were sure up against one tough judge. Read My Lips Lipstick in the shade On Trend I swear was made for me. My favourite lipstick of all time is MAC Persistence (which is a beige/cinnamon colour) and this shade was almost identical to it. I must say that this lipstick differed in texture because it was a lot more creamier and moisturising but it wasn't glossy at all, more of a satin matte. You can check out this colour on my lips in the image above. Secondly I tried out Material Girl Lipstick in the shade Tainted Love which again is beautifully creamy without being too glossy. Thirdly, Serial Lip Stain in the shade Radical was bullet proof! It was honestly one of the most lasting lip products in a matte finish that I have ever tried. Just to prove how lasting it was, in the images above you can see that I was able to wipe away the other two lip products easily but the lip stain took extra elbow grease. These lipsticks are also paraben and cruelty free which makes them better products to buy in my eyes, so do go and check them out (more colours available).

Last up was their Bullet Proof Flexible Mascara in the shade Dark Matter and boy, wasn't it super flexible. This mascara is perfect for Spring and Summer because if you are someone like me who suffers from hay-fever, this mascara is crumble and smudge proof due to its super flexible formula. Overall I was incredibly impressed with the Teeez Cosmetics range and I look forward to trying a few other products out. So it's a yes from me Teeez!

What do you think of this makeup brand? Which product do you like the look of?
Much Love

8 Reasons Why Pepsi's Kendall Jenner Advert Was So Bad

Once again, another terrible thing to hit the internet. Despite my Twitter feed blowing up with controversial comments and news that the 'monstrosity' Pepsi advert was also down to the fault of Kendall Jenner, but lets just take a moment to think about it for a second. Yes, the advertising behind the advert was nothing but appalling but to put part of the blame on Kendall Jenner? Is absurd.

When you are high flying model like Kendall Jenner the details of each job isn't always finalised to you until you get there. It is a manager's job to go through the details and to be honest with you, I don't think it was Pepsi's intention to cause such controversial conversation (or was it?). And I highly doubt that Kris Jenner wanted to put her daughter in the firing line (or did she?). Despite the speculations, it doesn't divert away from the fact that there are many things wrong with the Kendall Jenner Pepsi advert. So here are my 8 reasons as to why Pepsi's Kendall Jenner advert was so bad.

1. Why is Kendall Jenner having a photoshoot in a doorway? Also, who brings a big musical instrument to a protest? I mean... I hardly doubt anyone would crack out a tune whilst protesting over something really important.

2. Ok so I get that there are some 'PEACE', 'LOVE' and 'UNITY' signs, but what does the 'join the conversation' banners even mean? I guess Pepsi wanted the campaign to 'spark conversation' but what about? It lacks any meaning.

3. Uh? She totally just dumped her wig to the nearest black lady.

4. If I just smudged off some purple lipstick from my lips I would look like this...

But miraculously....

6. Jenner has perfect makeup and changes into a whole new outfit. Jeez, does she have magical powers?

7. Now here's the issues. Kendall approaches a non armed policeman in a scene reminiscent of a famous #BlackLivesMatter image, the only thing is that the police guard is nothing but friendly. We've all seen videos and pictures of policemen being armed up to the tee (and not to mention the police brutality). It just seems, I don't know, ignorant to actual important issues out there?

8. Errr yeah, like a can of Pepsi is going to solve all world problems.

What did you make of the advert?
Much Love
